ABOUT THE BOOK

Since the beginning of its existence, the Earth has been subjected to countless trials and tribulations. The planet was formed in an environment of chaos and destruction involving astronomical collisions, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. Since taking shape, the Earth’s mettle has been tested again and again by these forces as well as ice ages, blizzards, floods and tsunamis, cyclones, wild fires, man-made pollution, and human-caused climate change. I decided on six subjects about which to write, and have organized them into sections herein, namely: Cosmic Billiards (astronomical collisions), The Last Ice Age (ice ages), When the Earth Shudders (earthquakes), Big Waters Rolling (floods and tsu namis), Infernal Wild Fires (wild fires), and Killing Her Slowly (pollution and climate change).
